FAQ

Can I purchase extra images?

Absolutely!! For regular priced sessions, extras are $6 each. For specially priced sessions (MINIS) extras are $10 each. You can also upgrade to the whole gallery at a discounted rate. (starting in 2021 all extras will be $10 each)

Do I get the unedited images?

No, your packages will only included professionally culled and edited images to represent the best of my work, and the best of your session.

Do you require a deposit to book?

Right now, sessions will be paid in full on the day of your session. If you must reschedule after you've sent your transfer a full refund will be issued to you.

What kind of gear do you use?

I have a full frame DSLR and high quality lenses to capture your memories with. I use licensed software for editing on reliable computers. I have a secure network/server system to keep your images safe until they are delivered to you.

Does my package come with prints?

No, all my packages come with digital files only with full permissions for unlimited printing. I can make suggestions for print labs that will yield the best results.

I lost my session, what do I do?

I only keep RAW (unedited images) for 3 months. I keep the proofs from your gallery for the year that they're taken in. After that they're moved to hard drives and burnt to a BLU RAY for long term storage. IF you lose your images please contact me. I likely still have your proofs. I only guarantee your images for one year, so it's suggested that once you've downloaded your images, move them onto a USB (or two) to keep in an alternate location for safe keeping.

This is a new storage system for 2020. Starting in 2021 there will be a fee of $20 associated with pulling old sessions from my archives.

Can I make changes to my images myself?

No thank you. If you'd like changes made please let me know PRIOR to downloading your images. The copyright remains in my name, so any form of editing done by anyone but me to my images is in violation of copyright law. I'd be happy to make (reasonable) changes to your images to make you love them as much as possible.

I booked my session, now what?

YAY! I'm so excited to work with you. Take a look through the other parts of the website to find some useful information on how to plan for your session. You'll also need to fill out a questionnaire and sign a contract. If I haven't sent those over be sure to remind me.

How long will it take to get my images after my session?

Please be patient with me. This pandemic has been tricky for my family. My usual workflow has been interrupted by the lack of school and the loss of my external support team (AKA babysitters) I have less time to work so bare with me as I chip away whenever I can. Never be afraid to shoot me a message and see where I'm at. I will do my best to keep you apprised of my progress.

I have a session scheduled but I need to reschedule! What do I do?

If you or someone in your family is feeling unwell or has a fever PLEASE reschedule.

Do I need to have a computer to download my images?

Yes. In order to get the full quality high resolution images, downloading to a computer is essential. If you don't have a computer NO WORRIES, I can throw them on a USB for you for $20 (or bring your own for free) I suggest printing only high res images for optimal print quality. I can easily send them to you via messenger so you can have them on your phone/tablet as well.

Can I bring my pets to my session?

Due to the current pandemic, pets are no longer being allowed to attend sessions due to unnecessary risk of virus transmission.

Can I add an additional person to my session?

Right now I'm limiting the amount of people in a session to 5. Immediate family with members from only household please.

My images are done. How do I order?

EASY! Just log into your gallery and press the heart on the ones that you want. You can then either share your favourites with me or just shoot me a message and let me know you've made your choices.

What if its raining on the day of my session?

Rain stinks, and unfortunately for most types of sessions means that we'll need to reschedule. You could also be open to the idea of shooting in light rain. Depending on the type of session, you could consider switching to a home session, which are taken indoors. This may be difficult for a large group and alternative arrangements may need to be made (IE renting a studio space somewhere)

Do you have a studio?

As of right now I will not be offering any kind of studio sessions. All sessions (unless otherwise discussed) will need to take place outside.

Do you take business portraits?

At this time, only outdoor business portraits will be offered. This goes for branding sessions as well.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes definitely. If you want the session done but something comes up, or you need to wait until payday I can absolutely wait for payment. You are still responsible for paying the retainer to hold your session date/time at the time of booking. You also won't see any previews or your gallery until your balance is paid in full.

When do you want payment?

Please EMT on the date of your session. The session will not take place until I see the transfer in my email. I will accept the transfer before the session starts. This will only be while we are under restrictions.

Do you travel for sessions?

I don't mind travelling at all. If the session is outside the Woodstock area there's a fee of 58 cents per km. (As set forth by the Canadian Revenue Agency)

Will I see all of the images taken in my finished gallery?

No, part of the price you pay is for my expertise in selecting the best images for you to view. The culling process will weed out unflattering images to ensure your gallery is fresh, complimentary, and only displaying the best memories for you to make your selections from.

Who owns the copyright to my session?

The copyright remains in my name. You have full printing rights to your images. By maintaining copyright it allows me to use your images for the purposes of advertising, marketing, or general display purposes in digital form or print. *IF* this is not something you're comfortable with PLEASE let me know. Photos of a sensitive nature (IE boudoir) I will always ask permission to share publicly before doing so.

Do I need to sign a contract?

Yes. You'll need to sign an indoor or outdoor photography contract and also fill out and sign a quick questionnaire. These will be emailed to you after booking to secure your date and time. These will need to be filled out electronically and sent back to me. A HOW TO page is located here on the website and also available for me to send.
